Four Revolutionary Abilities

Tears of the Kingdom's four new abilities transform how players interact with the world in ways that feel genuinely magical:

• Ultrahand — Grab, move, rotate, and attach objects together to build vehicles, machines, and contraptions of any design. Build a flying machine to soar across the sky, construct a boat to cross the seas, or engineer a combat vehicle to battle enemies — the only limit is your imagination.
• Fuse — Combine weapons, shields, and arrows with materials found in the world to create powerful new equipment. Fuse a rock to a stick for a powerful hammer, attach a Keese eyeball to an arrow for homing shots, or bond a shield with a fan for a makeshift hoverboard.
• Ascend — Phase upward through solid ceilings to emerge on the surface above — a traversal ability that opens extraordinary new paths through caves, ruins, and mountains.
• Recall — Reverse the flow of time on individual objects, sending falling rocks back upward, returning projectiles to their source, or rewinding moving platforms to their origin.

Three Vast Worlds to Explore

Tears of the Kingdom expands Hyrule into three distinct layers of exploration — the familiar Surface of Hyrule, dramatically transformed by the Upheaval; the Sky Islands, ancient floating ruins high above the clouds filled with Zonai technology and secrets; and the Depths, a vast and mysterious underground world beneath Hyrule's surface shrouded in Gloom and filled with undiscovered treasures and terrifying enemies. Zonai Technology & Autobuild

The ancient Zonai civilization left behind extraordinary technology throughout the Sky Islands and Depths — Zonai Devices including fans, rockets, flame emitters, cannons, and wheels that can be combined with Ultrahand to build virtually any machine imaginable. The Autobuild ability allows Link to instantly reconstruct previously built contraptions, making engineering an increasingly powerful and accessible tool throughout the adventure.
